That’s just as effective as, “marry me.” when said to someone you just met. Yet boys do this to girls day in day out for centuries thinking it’s gotta work, right?
What does work however is, “nice shoes.”
Something as simple as a genuine compliment speaks volumes.
A) You’re observant.
B) You’re about making her feel good.
C) You can make her comfortable and not feel like she’s on the spot.
D) You have good taste.
E) Your aesthetic sensibilities are aligned.
And so many more things are communicated by a tiny little compliment. Do this in social media to win new clients.
“Here’s a 999% Coupon!”
You see the parallel here?
So let’s say you’re a dentist looking for new clients. Find people who would be good fit. Create a search filter for people who use the words “cavity, teeth, dentist, molar, etc…” in Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc. Then send them all a warm and fuzzy response that a true friend would say.
In Twitter, your search filter can even be geotargetted.
Just make sure your profile bio is very clear that you’re a dentist so you let them potential customer think it was his idea to contact you.
If you look like a girl and you say, “nice shoes,” to a straight woman, you’re not going to get the desired results.
