What do you do?
What I am trying to accomplish is a new way for smart phone customer service, along with a basic tutorial on how users are able to use their smart devices. During my time in sales I realized that most customer were intimidated and over whelmed by these devices, which often led to a bas experience and frustration. Many times the sales reps were more worried about their next sale rather than teaching their new customer simple actions that would give them an understanding of these powerful devices. Also give the users an easier way to be able to order batteries for the simple fact many stores do not carry batteries for sale. Warrantys usually only cover batteries for 3 months, which then sends customers searching for 3rd party companies to find one. The customer service will be a social media like application set up such as twitter or a Facebook messaging box. That will allow the user to reach out to a trouble shooter for their specific device to help answer questions about features and their use or simple trouble shooting techniques that will save them time and the headache of calling an outsourced operator where there could be a language barrier or misunderstanding creating a bigger problem and more frustration. What are the biggest changes you see happening in your industry?
The biggest changes will be less upset customers in store giving shoppers a better experience. helping raise sales for sales reps by not dealing with trouble shooting or upset customers budding in or raising doubts about products.
What opportunities and challenges will these changes bring about?
The opportunities this brings is new jobs to a generation that is already use to social media for their information and communication. Along with saving customers time of not having to travel to stores for an answer that could be as simple as restarting their device. Many customers come in store because their would rather avoid the frustration of calling customer service just to be transferred around and get no solution.
What are your biggest goals?
My biggest goal is to be used for all major carriers, (Verizon, At&t, T-Mobile’s, Sprint) and all device brands. (Samsung, Apple, BlackBerry, Sony, L.G, HTC etc…)
Who and what would you need to reach your goals fast?
In order to reach my goals I would need application developers, perhaps a deal with twitter or Facebook. Also the tech support departments of all Phone carriers & brands.
